Los Angeles Explodes in Celebration as Dodgers Claim Back-to-Back World Series Championship
The City of Angels witnessed widespread festivities after the Dodgers clinched a nail-biting seven-game World Series title. Fans across the globe united with Angelenos in jubilation, marking the first time in 25 years that a franchise has secured back-to-back championships.
Celebration Parade Draws Enormous Turnout
Los Angeles area celebrations included a procession through the city center on the morning of the parade, a ticketed rally at the team's home stadium, and spontaneous parties across the city.
Online footage depict thousands of Los Angeles residents packing downtown streets, many carrying handmade banners and team flags. The squad was seen traveling proudly on a open-top bus through the masses, raising the championship trophy proudly.
“I’m already thinking about the next championship we’re going to do this,” Shohei Ohtani remarked through an translator.
The procession path ended at the stadium, where the team walked out to the rapper’s “Not Like Us,” with DJ Mustard providing music and the artist cruising a Pacific blue vintage Cadillac around the stadium’s outfield.

Celebrations began well before the parade, with Dodgers fans lighting fireworks in the streets of the city center on the previous evening.

However, Mark Walter received a cooler welcome at the rally. Video footage from the event seem to depict Walter taking the stage to a mix of applause and boos, with jeers interrupting his address.
The World Series served as a bright spot in what has been a trying year for Los Angeles. An estimated 225,000 people showed up to the championship parade last year, and according to Dodgers player Freddie Freeman, fans this year showed equal or greater enthusiasm.
“I feel like it’s almost double from last year,” he said. “These fans are crazy. It’s truly amazing to be a involved in this.”
